satisfied and very happy with the results of the International Design Conference "SIGN 2010" which just ended in the city of Merida were both attending as participants and speakers were 4 days of activities, meetings, lectures, workshops , meetings and celebrations, was a unique opportunity to share with young students from the Venezuelan city of Merida, Maracaibo, San Cristobal, Acarigua, San Felipe, Barquisimeto, Maracay, Valencia, Caracas, Puerto La Cruz, Porlamar and Maturin all belonging to different schools and institutions like the University of Los Andes, La Universidad del Zulia, URBE Institute Antonio José de Sucre, IUTIRLA, Universidad Nacional Experimental del Yaracuy, and the Design Institute Darias.

promises are fulfilled and thereby strengthens not only this international meeting, if not the design itself from a broad perspective, all the speakers came as promised from Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia and Brazil by Diego Giaccone, Esteban Salgado David Criado and Billy Bacon for joining us for 4 wonderful days with our dear colleagues and fellow Venezuelan Santiago Pol, Juan Carlos Darias, Nelson Garrido, Manuel Gonzalez, Ruben Moreno, Domingo Villalba, Alvaro Hernandez, John Walter Villaroel and Sasha course Becerra together the entire creative team Vanguard: Ramón, Goyo, LadyDi, Nayacelys and all those who both worked hard for the success of this event.
We were convinced and assured that the next meeting will be even better and that already is preparing SIGN 2011 International Design Conference, we will be there again.

New Covenant Seminar: Physical Punishment of Children without

I International Seminar on the rights of children and adolescents from violence socially and legally accepted.

physical and humiliating punishment is one of the main forms of violence against children. According to the World Report on Violence against Girls and Boys United Nations in the world between 80% and 98% of children and adolescents suffer such punishment.
In this context, will be held the first international seminar on the rights of children and adolescents from violence socially and legally accepted "New Social Compact: Children without corporal punishment" on 29, November 30 and December 1, 2010 in the Great Unity School Alfonso Ugarte.
The event will feature the participation of Paulo Sérgio Pinheiro, Special Rapporteur on the Rights of the Child in American Commission on Human Rights, Dr. Norberto Liwski, Executive Director of Advocacy for Children (International DNI) and former vice chairman of Committee on the Rights of the Child. Alejandro
Cussiánovich, an expert on children and teachers of the Master Social Policy Mention Promotion for Children at the University of San Marcos, Fernando Pereira, General Coordinator of CECODAP, Luz Maria Gutierrez, representing PANIAMOR and representatives of organizations of children and adolescents are also part of the seminar.

The themes are:

1. Recognition of physical punishment as a form of violence and its eradication.

2. Legal prohibition of corporal punishment and establishing public policies that guarantee their implementation.

3. Towards a society free from corporal punishment and other forms of humiliating treatment. The event is

directed at public officials, researchers and specialists in childhood and adolescence, representatives of NGOs, children and adolescents and the general public interested in the subject.
