Pacific Agreement




Lima .- The presidents of Peru, Mexico, Chile and Colombia concluded on Friday in Lima summit agreement called Pacific deep integration with the following statement:

"Given the cordial invitation by Mr. President of the Republic of Peru, Mr. Alan Garcia Perez to form a Deep Integration Area through a process of political articulation, and economic cooperation and integration in Latin America and the meeting with the presidents of the Republic of Chile Don Sebastian Pinera Echenique, Colombia, Don Juan Manuel Santos Calderon, of Mexico, Felipe Calderón Hinojosa held on December 4, 2010, in Mar del Plata.

Welcoming the presence of Minister for Canal Affairs, Romulo Roux, Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli Berrocal, whose country supports this statement as an observer in the process of joining the Pacific Alliance .

Highlighting advances in our countries on inclusive economic growth and development through the creation of productive employment, reducing poverty and strengthening democracy. Confirming our commitment

contribute to the consolidation of the Latin American Pacific Rim as a space for dialogue and convergence as well as a mechanism for political dialogue and outreach to the Asia Pacific.

Confirming our commitment to give priority to integration as an effective instrument for improving economic and social development of our peoples, promoting entrepreneurial skills and move towards a broad area more attractive for investment and trade in goods and services project so that our country is more competitive, especially to the Asia Pacific region.

Recognizing that free trade agreements between our countries provide an excellent platform that facilitates and encourages the integration of our economies.

and reaffirming that the agreements reached within the framework of this initiative will contribute to and deepen economic agreements, trade and integration that our countries have signed bilateral, regional and multilateral levels.

agree:

- Set the Pacific Alliance for the formation of an area of \u200b\u200bdeep integration within the Latin American Pacific Rim, to encourage regional integration and greater growth, development and competitiveness of our economies.

To this end, we express our firm commitment to move progressively towards the goal of achieving free movement of goods, services, capital and people.

In the first phase of work will be prioritized in the following areas: movement of business persons and facilitating the migratory flows, including police cooperation, trade and integration, including trade facilitation and customs cooperation, services and capital, including ability to integrate stock exchanges, and cooperation and dispute settlement mechanisms, and create technical working groups for each of these areas.
